A: Introduction:

Hello, my name is Bob Smolders, I love The Elder Scrolls series. I Also like to
produce mods, especially 'Better mods'. I make or change things in Oblivion and
Morrowind that I wanted, just because it's more realistic or better. Mournhold
is one of these things. When I started replaying Morrowind GOTY a while back I
went to Mournhold very quickly. But when I got there it all came back te me,
indeed... Mournhold is a dead, grey, dull and deserted city. And this calls itself
the CAPITAL of Morrowind? I began working...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

B: Information about this mod:

Ok, at first my intention was to make Mournhold only more realistic by making the
spires in the Brindisi Dorom and the Temple and some tower from the palace visible
in every district. Then I decided to add some trees outside of the walls which could
be seen from within to make it feel like Mournhold really lies in a landscape instead
of in an ocean... Still I was not satisfied, I replaced the ground texture to a brighter
and happier texture which is intended to look almost identical to the ground texture the
Mournhold map has. Finally I added more lamps, litter and in the end more NPC's to make
the city really come alive. This is the result.

What this mod does:

- Adds Buildings that should be visible from any district in the right place (so actually the
right 'VWD' This are things like: The Temple, Palace towers, trees, spires.

- Adds trees outside of the walls to make Mournhold feel like it is actually located on land
instead of on the middle of the ocean.

- Pimps up all the district's gardens so that it now really looks like a garden instead of a
  plain dull plaque of grass.

- Alters several textures, such as the awful (IMO) tiling ground cobbles, which have been
changed into the ground texture which Mournhold seems to have on the map. The grass texture
  has been updated too.

- Adds fountains and lilypads to the water on the wallsides

- Adds extra little treecircles, plants, lanterns, ivy.

- Adds more litter in the districts which are being lived in (Godsreach and Great Bazaar) such
as more barrels, crates, urns etc.

- Adds 56 unique citizen NPC's + more guards and beggars, spreaded over all the four districts,
to make the city feel like people actually live there, come there to trade and such.

- Adds a few beggars to the Temple Courtyard and the Great Bazaar.

B2:Version History

- v1.2: There are several fixes in this version:
        - Fixed a huge bug, somehow Salas Valor was gone, I placed him again. He is essential for the MQ!
        - Fixed another huge bug, almost all doormarkers in Godsreach ended up stuck in the floor.
        - Fixed the sounds for the fountains, after the attack the fountains were there, but the
          sounds still not, fixed now.
        - Fixed 1 lilypad hanging above/in a fountain.
        - Cleaned up the .esp again.

- v1.1: There are several changes and fixes in this version:
        - Mod can be downloaded in 2 versions, one with and one without my new textures.
        - Removed the Better Heads dependeny.
        - Removed a little Better Clothes dependency the mod had, it wasn't a big problem, but not
having better clothes would make some beasts shirtless.
        - Only 2 versions, the normal NPC version was too CPU-consuming and could look messy sometimes
because of the huge crowd. Now there's the NPC version, which was called Lite before and the
No NPC version which doesn't contain extra citizens at all for people with slower PC's.
        - Fixed some object locations to fix seams.
        - Changed the fountains in all the districts apart from the Plaza Brindisi Dorm to make them
still work after the city attack. It would be unlogical of all the fountains in the city
          would suddendly stop of course.
        - Races are all back now, for the Lite version I deleted the first half of every NPC's group,
causing the Argonian and Breton to not appear anymore.

 - v1.0: The initial release.

C: Installing the mod:

This mod includes one major folder:

- Data Files

In this folder are a few files and folders:

- Textures (Contains textures for all the objects)

- Meshes (Contains meshes for the altered objects)

- Readme.txt

- Mournhold Overhaul - NPC's | For a good compromise between atmosphere and framerate, with extra
                                   | guards, beggars and 56 citizen NPC's

- Mournhold Overhaul - No NPC's | For best framerate, with extra guards, beggars and no extra citizens

The easiest way to install the mod is to select the Data Files folder and copy/cut it and paste it
into your Morrowind folder. If Windows asks to overwrite, click 'Yes to all'.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

D: Playing the mod:

To play the mod, simply click on the square next to 1 of the 2 .esp's in the Morrowind launcher.
DO NOT ACTIVATE MORE THEN 1 .ESP!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

E: Known issues:

   - This mod will most probably conflict with any mod which changes Mournhold via an .esp.
